1954 UNICEF Air Mail Issue
Although not listed as a semi-postal stamp in most catalogs, half the proceeds from this stamp were given to the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). The stamp was issued on September 27, 1954, lithographed on unwatermaked paper by Herman Jaffe, perforated 12 1/2 and measures 51 x 39mm. A larger (63 x 49mm) reproduction was created for presentation to U.N. delegates. This larger version is not as valuable as the smaller version.
